What do we do in Marlow
We raise money for charity
Last year the now Famous Santa's Fun Run,
organised by the 3 Marlow Clubs raised in excess
of £35,000 for charity. We raise many thousands of
pounds through street collections, and other money
raising events like concerts, late night shopping in
Marlow, playing Santa to the children and more.
We help in the local community
With outings for the elderley and disabled, with a
young carere's day for young carers and their
disabled charges. We listen to primary school
children read, run competitions for secondary
school children, organise mock interviews and send
young people on Youth Leadership training courses.
Financially we help support the local youth
organisations. We work with the Town Council and
other local organisations.
We have fun and support one another
With regular meetings, interesting speakers,
outings and more. Through our fellowship we
can support one another and help each other
develop interpersonal skills.
We work actively on international
projects
Working in conjunction with 4 linked clubs in Paris,
Cologne, Venice and Binche (Belgium), we have
helped supply sanitation and clean water to schools
in Uganda. We help with orphans in Zimbarbwe. In
Monrovia - Liberia we are actively supporting a
major programme that started in 2014 to support
the Ebola out break this programme still continuing
see p xx We support programmes in India and the
Far East and also support the major disaster
